DeA Capital carries out private equity investments:

• Direct investment in qualified minority or majority stakes in companies operating in the services sector in Europe, with a medium-to long-term horizon. Its current main investments are Générale de Santé and Migros Turk;
• Indirect investments in private equity funds and funds of funds, mainly managed by IdeA Alternative Investments.

DeA Capital is also active in Alternative Asset Management, through:

• its 44.4% share in IDeA Alternative Investments S.p.A., which controls some of the main Italian investment management companies active in the alternative investments sector (including private equity funds, funds of funds, and hedge funds), with over € 1.8 billion under management (end 2008)
• its 70% stake in First Atlantic Real Estate, one of Italy’s leading groups in real estate fund management (with around € 2.9 billion under management – end 2008) and in the provision of property management, project management and agency services.
